Aweoweo Beach

A hidden gem tucked in a quiet residential area west of Haleiwa, Aweoweo Beach offers a tranquil escape from Oahu’s busier spots. Known for its calm, shallow waters and family-friendly vibe, it features bathrooms, showers, picnic tables, and a playground. It’s also famous for its turtle cleaning station, making it one of the best places to spot sea turtles while snorkeling. With minimal crowds, dog-friendly policies, and spectacular sunsets, Aweoweo is perfect for those seeking a laid-back, local experience.

Waikiki Beach

The island’s most iconic stretch, perfect for swimming, beginner surfing, and enjoying views of Diamond Head. It’s lively, with plenty of hotels and restaurants nearby.

 

Lanikai Beach

Often ranked among the world’s best, this serene spot in Kailua boasts powdery white sand and turquoise waters, ideal for kayaking and sunrise views.

 

Sunset Beach

Located on the North Shore, this two-mile stretch is a surfing mecca in winter and a tranquil swimming spot in summer, with breathtaking sunsets year-round.

 

Waimea Bay

Known for massive winter waves and calm summer waters, Waimea is great for both thrill-seekers and families looking to snorkel or swim.
